Don’t get beaten by the success you see others enjoying.

Success is different things to different people.

Elephant and Mouse playing chess

When you’re regularly reading or hearing the success stories of others.

It's all too easy to slip into a mindset of, I’m failing.

I’m not as good as they are.

I’m not good enough.

💥 Yes, you are!

It's ok to not be as good at exactly what they’re doing.

Because you might be a damn sight better at something else.

Something else that’s just as important to other people.

Something that you're passionate about, and love a whole lot more.

Keep firmly focused on what you’re doing, not what others are doing.

Stay focused on what success is for you.

However big or small.

A small success is still success.

I know I can sometimes get distracted and demoralised because of the success others have, and if you do too, try this:

🔶 Be interested, even offer congratulations, when others share their success stories.

🔷 Be inspired, but not in competition, not even in your own mind.

🔶 Have a clear picture of what you will call success.

🔷 Make that little wins as well as big ones.

🔶 Remain focused on, and keep doing the work you want to do.

🔷 Celebrate every success you have.

🔶 Start sharing your own success stories.
