Leadership in Practice

Leadership requires a diverse set of skills, that come together to allow you to be an exceptional leader or leadership team.

Developing these skills will sometimes require facilitation of a workshop or an ‘Away Day’. In other situations, an educational session may be more effective to encourage learning and knowledge. We also provide mentoring to give longer term support and help you embed and get comfortable with your new skills, even in the most challenging situations. In all cases, it is best to begin with an assessment so you know your leadership strengths and the areas where you can develop.

It’s a quick and effective assessment, from which we work with you to create your own tailored development plan.

Facilitation

Guiding you towards success

Effective facilitation is at the core of successful development for leadership teams. We design engaging agendas and activities for your Away Day or workshop, tailored to your specific situation, and to help your practice or primary care network navigate challenging decisions and discussions with ease. The goal is always to make sure your leadership team remains aligned and focused on the development plan.

Education

Empowering Leaders through Knowledge

When skills and concepts are completely new, or harder to grasp, a more traditional education session can be a more effective approach. This can work well with individual leaders and small teams, and we’ll always advise you what’s best for your particular situation. We’re experienced educators and use real world context to bring sessions to life and make learning fun and effective.

Mentoring

Supporting your long-term leadership growth

We know the hardest part of leadership development can come later, with fresh challenges and while you’re still getting to grips with your new skills. For this reason, we can stay with you, offering longer term support and guidance, when you face unfamiliar or tougher tests. This can be structured for you, regular calls or contact when needed, reassured that we’re still at hand.
